Dear AACE Member,

On behalf of the Planning Committee , we are pleased to invite you to attend the International Workshop on Primary Hyperparathyroidism that will be held the day before the formal opening of the AACE Annual Meeting in Orlando, FLA. . Many advances have been made in the diagnosis and management of primary hyperparathyroidism since the last workshop that was held in 2002. These developments include further understanding of its molecular pathogenesis, natural history, atypical manifestations; new presentations; pre-operative localization; medical and surgical management.  The 2008 international workshop will  provide a forum for  experts to update us on these aspects of Primary Hyperparathyroidism. Following the workshop, the 2002 guidelines will be revised.

The International Bone and Mineral Society, European Symposium on Calcified Tissues (ECTS), The Endocrine Society and American Society of Bone and Mineral Research. Sponsoring Societies also include the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons.

Young investigators and trainees will have an opportunity to present  their research and to participate in the discussions and dialogue. Limited travel grants will be available. We look forward to welcoming you in Orlando with the AACE team.

Sincerely
